Dodgers Injury News: Julio Urias' Hamstring Not Responding, Return Timeline Up in Air

Not the news the Dodgers wanted to hear!

The Dodgers got some unfortunate news Friday afternoon as it appears Julio Urías won't start Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. He had a setback during a bullpen session and his return from injury will be delayed.

This isn't the news that the Dodgers or their fans wanted to hear as many were looking forward to the return of Urías this weekend. The hope is that this doesn't turn into anything that lasts too much longer but with hamstrings, you can never be too careful.

Dave Roberts mentioned that Urías will need a rehab assignment before returning so hopefully he is back sooner rather than later.

The news comes at a bad time as the Dodgers have been dealing with a plethora of injuries all season long. More than half their rotation options are currently on the injured list so it remains to be seen who will start the game Sunday.

The only healthy starters left on the team are Clayton Kershaw, Bobby Miller, Tony Gonsolin and Michael Grove. If this setback to Urías lingers, it could mean the team having to call back up someone.

Luckily for the Dodgers, the team does have some days off this month so they could go forward with a four-man rotation. However, with their injury luck, this could prove unwise. The team has some decisions to make for this weekends game and beyond and it'll be interesting to see how the Dodgers play this.

But for now, all eyes will be on Urias' hamstring, as the Dodgers will hope he's able to return sooner rather than later.
