Dodgers: LA’s Pitching Prospects Could Make An Impact in 2023

Could one of the four LA pitching prospects make a splash this season?

The Athletics Keith Law choose the Dodgers as having the best farm system for the second straight season, and you can't blame him.

The Dodgers have all the talent and promise you can ask for in your young prospects. They have the hitters in Diego Cartaya, Miguel Vargas, Andy Pages, James Outman, and Michael Busch, to name a few. However, the Dodgers could have better-pitching prospects than they do hitting prospects.

That is because of Ryan Pepiot, Gavin Stone, Michael Grove, and Bobby Miller.

Three of the four are in the Top 100 prospects list, and all four are in the top 30 of the Dodgers prospect list

We are familiar with what Pepiot can bring to the team. He debuted in May 2022 for LA, and even though he struggled at times, you can see the potential is there. His changeup is filthy and could be the best in the game soon.

Gavin Stone is the number seven prospect for LA and 56 overall prospects heading into 2023. His heater has improved throughout the years, and he has a solid slider that hits in the mid-80s. The Stoneman has all the tools to make an impact with LA and throughout the league.

LA fans have seen a little of Michael Grove as well. Grove pitched in seven games, going 1-0 with a 4.60 ERA in 29.1 pitches. The 26-year-old may not be LA's best pitching prospect; however, if he can be consistent with his stuff, he can be one to look out for among the pitching prospects.

And lastly, Bobby Miller, LA's number two overall prospect, can be the one to lead LA in their rotation for many years to come. The 2020 first-round draft pick has a heater that can reach triple-digits and hits 97-98 MPH at a consistent rate. Miller could have been more impressive in 2022, having an ERA of 4.25 and a 7-7 record; however, the 23-year-old has the tools to become an ace with the Dodgers.

Pepiot will probably be the one to make a serious impact in 2023, he'll be a common fixture in the rotation, and we're excited to see how he's improved.

Nonetheless, if these four pitchers can live up to their potential, the Dodgers rotation will be the best in baseball for numerous years.
