Dodgers Make LA Franchise History With Incredible Offensive Display This Year

There were fireworks in Los Angeles in 2023!

The Los Angeles Dodgers have had an incredible season on the offensive side of things.

They have two strong NL Most Valuable Player candidates in Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, while Max Muncy has rediscovered his great form in 2023.

But the trio has done something historic and it shows just how dangerous the lineup is.

Betts, Freeman, and Muncy have all eclipsed the 100 RBI plateau in 2023, something that had never happened since the Dodgers franchise made the move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles in 1959.

That stat is absurd in and of itself, but there's another thing that could make it even more unbelievable.

Designated hitter J.D. Martinez, in the midst of a resurgent season that saw him get an All-Star nod, is just two RBI away from reaching triple digits himself with 98.

When it comes down to it, the Betts, Freeman, Muncy trio is the most explosive in Los Angeles Dodgers history, which is definitely saying something considering the greatness of the franchise over the years.

And if Martinez can make it a quartet with four games remaining in the regular season, the team should have statistically one of the most feared quartets in Dodgers history.

All of this comes with LA on the precipice of the playoffs.

The Dodgers have been one of the best teams in baseball since climbing out from under a third place hole in the NL West, and they could very well be World Series contenders next month.

And one of the strongest lineups in MLB led by its star trio will play a big role in carrying them through October.
