The Los Angeles Dodgers have made a roster move ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. The team officially activated RHP Michael Grove off the 15-day injured list, getting him set to start Saturday's game. To make room on the active roster, the team decided to option LHP Justin Bruihl to Triple-A.

Grove has been out for over a month now, after leaving his April 20 start with a groin injury. The right-hander made the Opening Day roster after RHP Ryan Pepiot suffered an oblique strain, and ended up making four starts before heading to the injured list.

Grove was battling an illness in his first two starts, and it showed, as he was roughed up against the Arizona Diamondbacks in his second start for nine earned runs and 12 hits in 3.1 innings.

However, in his third start, he was healthier, and settled in very nicely against the Chicago Cubs, allowing two hits and one earned runs across 5.2 innings while striking out six.

Now, Grove is reentering the starting rotation, one that could use the help with Julio Urias and Dustin May on the injured list. If Grove is able to pitch well, he could earn himself a longer stay in the rotation.

As for the corresponding move, Bruihl was optioned to make room for Grove on the active roster. After getting off to a dominant start this year, Bruihl struggled as of late, allowing seven earned runs over his last 7.2 innings pitched.

The Dodgers were going to have to make a decision between Bruihl and Alex Vesia, and since they just recalled Vesia, they likely wanted to give him a longer opportunity.

So, Bruihl heads back down for now, but we'll likely see him again at some point later in the season. But for now, Vesia is getting the opportunity as a lefty in the Dodgers bullpen.
