In a quick two game series, starting pitching doesn't seem like it would be the most important thing in the world. The Dodgers have two scheduled off days this week, and they might be getting one of their key weapons back next week in Julio Urias.

But for the time being, Dave Roberts revealed who he might run out on the mound in the second game of the freeway series on Wednesday.

The Dodgers are really running low on options when it comes to starting pitching with Urias, Noah Syndergaard and Dustin May all on the injured list, so the only option is to call up some of their young guys to try and see what they have in the minors.

So for the time being, Michael Grove and his 8.10 ERA will make his way right back into the Dodgers rotation after getting optioned following his last start on June 15 when he went five innings and gave up four runs against the White Sox. He's also given up four runs in each of his last four starts.

Hopefully, this is the only start Grove has to make as the Dodgers do have reinforcements on the way.

Urias, who's been out since May 18, is scheduled to go out on a minor league rehab assignment next week and could rejoin the team some time on their next road trip to Colorado and Kansas City.

Additionally, the Dodgers young guns have shown out in their limited starts. Yes, they weren't perfect (unless your name's Emmet Sheehan), but they were more than serviceable and could provide some depth moving forward.

With the trade deadline around the corner, the time is now for the Dodgers to see if they have enough firepower in the rotation, or if they need to make a win-now move.
