Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Reflects On Julio Urias' Last Outing In The Cactus League

This Sunday, Julio Urias made his last Spring Training start before going on to represent Team Mexico in the WBC.

During Sunday's game against the White Sox, Julio Urias took the mound for his last start of Spring Training.

Urias pitched four scoreless innings in his second start of Spring Training allowing only 3 hits and striking out one.

After his performance, Dave Roberts shared a few words with Kirsten Watson about Urias and the rest of the pitching staff:

In his first start of Spring Training, he pitched two scoreless innings while stricking out four. After getting his final start this Sunday, he'll now go on to represent Team Mexico in the World Baseball Classic next week.

Last season, Julio Urias pitched the best season of his career so far while also managing to remain healthy the entire time.

He posted an impressive 2.16 ERA with a 17-7 record and had 166 strikeouts across his 177 innings during the 2022 campaign.

And after being left out of the All-Star team and finishing third in the Cy Young award voting, he'll be out for revenge this upcoming season.

However, it's interesting to note that after this season, the 26-year-old pitcher will be a free agent. Will El Culichi stay with Los Angeles for another few years or will he head off to find a home with another team?

It's hard to imagine Urias in any other color but Dodger Blue as he's been a key piece of the Dodgers' rotation since he made his MLB debut during the 2016 season. But at the end of the day, baseball is a business and we'll see where he decides to go next winter.
