Despite all the issues that the team has seen this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers keep chugging along. They seem to have found a groove of late and have won multiple series in a row. It's a testament to the organization as a whole for keeping things strong during the trying times this season.

The Dodgers have dealt with too many injuries to count and have seen multiple players regress from their expected production. It caused them to lose games that they normally would have won but they still find themselves in first place within the NL West division.

The team continues to climb in the standings and in the most recent power rankings, as well. Within the ranking from The Athletic, LA jumped up a spot from the previous edition from No. 5 to No. 4. However, they did touch on the biggest flaw for the Dodgers.

"I’m not sure what the answer is for the Dodgers’ bullpen. Is it to hope that pitchers like Yency Almonte, Phil Bickford and Alex Vesia turn it around? Is it to make less splashy acquisitions, like Brad Hand from the Rockies or Kyle Finnegan from the Nationals? Or is it to load prospects up into the prospect cannon and shell the Pirates for David Bednar?"

Per The Athletic

As the trade deadline approaches, the biggest need for the team is definitely pitching. They need to get some upgrades both in the bullpen and rotation, otherwise their trip to October may be short-lived yet again.

They can't rely on just a few pitchers in the postseason and need to get consistent production from their entire staff. This is the time to make those upgrades and the fate of their season rests in the moves made over the next few weeks.
