The Dodgers have had an unfortunate start to Friday's game against the Giants.

In the bottom of the first inning, David Peralta came up injured after running to first base and trying to avoid first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. He was removed after that, with James Outman coming into the game in center field, and Jonny DeLuca moving to left.

Then, in the bottom of the fourth inning, Michael Busch hit for Chris Taylor, who came up gimpy after running to first base in his previous at-bat.

The Dodgers have provided updates on both players, and both are pretty concerning.

The Dodgers said that Peralta left the game with a left hamstring strain — the same injury Max Muncy just hit the injured list with — and Taylor left the game with right knee pain.

Starting with Peralta, the most important part of the hamstring strain is how severe it is. Muncy is dealing with what the Dodgers are calling a "low grade" strain, and he was forced to hit the injured list. So, hopefully Peralta is dealing with an even lower graded strain, but we should know more after the game and on Saturday.

As for Taylor, right knee pain is extremely ominous. I don't even want to try to speculate on that injury, but let's hope it's not so severe. The Dodgers can't afford two more injuries to their lineup, especially with Muncy already on the IL.
