It looks like the Dodgers will be welcoming back a swinging Miguel Vargas following a pinky injury that he sustained late February during a workout with the team. It was ruled a hairline fracture and he has been recovering ever since.

The young second baseman spoke to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic and revealed that fans should expect to see him batting once again when he is back in the lineup.

It is likely that Thursday will be the day where he swings for the first time in Spring Training, and individuals within the team should be very excited. Vargas is in a unique position with the Dodgers where, despite just being a rookie, there is a lot pressure surrounding him. He will be asked to take on a lot of responsibilities and has echoed that he is ready for it all.

Despite not being able to swing, he still got more practice at second base and has been itching to play both sides of the game. He's also been pretty impressive at taking pitches, as he's already walked four times this spring.

But now, he's going to showcasing his full talent, so get ready for a great look at one of LA's brightest young chips.
