The Los Angeles Dodgers first swap of Tuesday's deadline day was a small one. It may have even gone unnoticed, as the team performed a little bit of house cleaning ahead of the trade deadline.

Los Angeles sent relief pitcher Justin Bruihl to the Colorado Rockies for cash considerations, according to MLB Network insider Mark Feinsand.

The lefty was designated for assignment last week after spending most of the season going back and forth between Los Angeles and the team's Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City.

For the relief man that first came onto the scene in 2021 to the tune of a 3.38 ERA in 21 appearances with LA, he couldn't replicate that same success in 2023, posting a 4.07 ERA in 20 outings for the Dodgers, with most of those coming in lower leverage situations.

So Bruihl will try to jumpstart his career with the Rockies in the Mile High City, while the Dodgers continued to add cash considerations in a day that saw them trade four players for cash. Bruihl, Phil Bickford, Adam Kolarek and Eddys Leonard were all trade on deadline day for cash.
