Dodgers Reportedly 'Enamored' With All-Star Trade Candidate Corbin Burnes

The Dodgers are in need of a front-line ace this winter.

With the Dodgers need for starting pitching this offseason, the team has been looking around for help, and they are expected to be aggressive in doing so.

One name that has been heavily linked to LA has been Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes. Burnes could fill the Dodgers need for an ace-level pitcher, and would instantly bolster their rotation.

MLB insider Jon Morosi of MLB.com is reporting that the Dodgers are among the teams "enamored" with Burnes.

"...A lot of people around the industry in recent days have said they expect Burnes to be moved before spring training."

Per Jon Morosi of MLB.com

Morosi said the Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels are among the teams "all enamored with Burnes to varying degrees."

Landing Burnes would be a blockbuster move for the Dodgers, and they have the prospect capital to make it happen. They have one of the best farm systems in the big leagues and should look to make this move this offseason using it.

They have been building themselves up for some time now with the thought of going after a player like Burnes. While he is entering the final year of his contract, the team could then try to re-sign him on a long-term deal.

Last season with the Brewers, he posted an ERA of 3.39 over 32 starts. Burnes was dominant strikeout-wise, punching out 200 batters over 193.2 innings of work.

This remains one of the biggest wishlist targets for the Dodgers, and they continue to be linked with him. The hope is that they land him, and can completely turn a weakness into a strength of theirs.
