Former Dodgers World Series Winning Reliever Signs With NL East Squad

The former LA reliever has found a new home on the East Coast

Former Los Angeles Dodgers champion and reliever Dylan Floro has found himself a new home.

After spending 2023 with the Miami Marlins and the Minnesota Twins, the 32-year-old will find a new National League home, signing a deal with the Washington Nationals.

Floro signed a one-year, $2.25 million deal with Washington with performance bonuses, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Floro had a 4.76 ERA and seven saves in 62 games in relief as a member of the Marlins and Twins last season.

Floro recorded his best numbers in Dodger Blue, though. In three seasons from 2018- 2020, Floro had an 11-4 record with a 3.10 ERA, 92 strikeouts, a 1,17 WHIP, and a 3.09 FIP in 98.2 innings pitched and 104 games.

In the postseason, the righty reliever was solid for the Dodgers, recording a 4.38 ERA, and 15 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched. Floro was a key piece of the bullpen during the 2020 World Series championship run.

Floro will now be joining his seventh team during his now nine-year MLB career.
