Mookie Betts Perfectly Sums Up Offseason: 'What a Time to Be a Dodger'

It's time to embrace the crazy.

After a billion-dollar offseason, Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Mookie Betts couldn't imagine playing for anyone else.

In an interview with SportsNet LA, Betts spoke about the "crazy" offseason.

“What a time to be a Dodger. This is crazy. It’s really a blessing. It just shows you that being a Dodger, this is what comes with it. This is the culture with it. We’re gonna win, we’re gonna compete, we’re gonna put the best team out there, we’re gonna do anything and everything to bring home a championship and that’s why guys want to come to the Dodgers.”

With all the offseason additions, Betts is also transitioning to the infield full-time. Last season, he split time between second base and right field.

During his interview, he said he has full confidence in Jason Heyward in right field because "he has as many Gold Gloves as I do."

The Dodgers spent $1.2 billion this offseason and will have a franchise-record $310 million in payroll this season.

Betts and the rest of the team are embracing the craziness and ready to embark on a season unlike any other. With a roster like this one, the expectations should be to win a World Series or bust.
