When Do the Dodgers Play Next in the MLB Playoffs?

The 2023 NLDS continues.

After falling 11-2 on Saturday, the Dodgers find themselves behind in the best-of-5 National League Division Series. On Sunday the team is off but some players came to Dodger Stadium for an optional workout day.

Next, the Dodgers and Diamondbacks get back to action on Monday, October 9th with first pitch coming at 6:07 PM PT in LA. The game will once again be broadcast on TBS.

Rookie right-hander Bobby Miller (11-4, 3.76 ERA in the regular season) will face Arizona ace Zac Gallen (17-9, 3.47 ERA in the regular season).

An off day after just one game played in a postseason series is certainly a bit peculiar. But Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is looking at the break in a positive light.

"I'm okay with the off day. There's a big group of guys here that are -- guys want to show up and work out, which is great. I think the off day might kind of hopefully cool those bats down on the other side. So, yeah, I'm good with it. Our pen, the pitching, everything's lined up. I feel good about where we're at. So, yeah, I'm okay with it."

The Dodgers went 8-5 against the D-backs in the regular season this year and have mostly owned them in recent seasons. But the postseason is a different ballgame altogether.
