Here's a baseball trivia question that few may get correct 20 years from now: What do Will Brennan and Randy Johnson have in common?

No, it's not three Cy Young awards or 4,875 career strikeouts.

They've both been caught in the middle of an incident with a flying friend in the infield. Outside of Johnson's accolades as a starting pitcher, one of his most memorable moments came in 2001 when he accidentally hit a bird while he was throwing a pitch.

Brennan had a similar incident happen on Monday night. As he stepped into the box for his first at-bat, Brennan smoked a ball to grab a base hit. However, as the camera angle changed, the ball appeared to slow down.

That's because it hit a bird that was sitting on the infield.

Baseball Savant clocked the exit velo of this hit at 100.1. Unfortunately, this meant that a member of the grounds crew had to come out and remove the bird with a shovel.

Brennan took to Twitter following the game and had this to say about the incident:

Even former Guardian Ernie Clement inserted himself in the playful exchange.

The chances of this happening are so incredibly low, of course, it happened during a Guardians game.
