Watch: Bohm Hits Two-Run Blast Off Of Jacob deGrom

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm hit a two-run home run off of Jacob deGrom to give his team the lead over the Texas Rangers.

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Philadelphia Phillies took the early lead on Opening Day against the Texas Rangers after third baseman Alec Bohm hit a two-run home run to dead center field.

He quickly made it 2-0 in the second inning and did so by taking Jacob deGrom deep. Widely regarded as one of the best pitchers in the game, deGrom has struggled early after a dominating first inning.

In the third inning, deGrom then gave back-to-back triples to Brandon Marsh and Trea Turner. Shortstop Trea Turner then scored from third on a wild pitch by deGrom to make it 4-0.

It has been a picture perfect start to the reignign National League champions as they look to get their first win under their belt.

Putting up four runs on Jacob deGrom in his first start as a Texas Ranger is one way to build the momentum and confidence needed to enter the season.
