2024 NBA Draft: Projecting the Lottery Picks

Projecting the 2024 NBA Draft lottery picks prior to the end of the college basketball season on Monday.

The 2023-24 college basketball season will officially wrap up tonight, when titans Donovan Clingan and Zach Edey, along with their respective teams UConn and Purdue, meet on the hardwood at 8:20 p.m.

It’s been a windy road so far for the 2024 NBA Draft class, who still have yet to see a player truly lock themselves in at the No. 1 pick. Despite that, there’s still plenty of talent swimming around in the lottery range.

The mock draft begs plenty of questions that aren’t likely to be answered until teams are on the clock. Who would the Detroit Pistons take No. 1 overall? Is Alex Sarr as locked into the top spot as it seems? Will teams be keen on taking the Ignite forwards are down seasons in the G League?

A trio of international players in Sarr, Nikola Topic and Zaccharie Risacher have made their case in respective leagues. The Kentucky freshman duo of Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham have likely locked themselves in as lottery picks. And upperclassmen like Dalton Knecht, Devin Carter and Kevin McCullar continued to hone their skills as the season waned on.

Despite the parity that seems to run through the lottery and beyond, several teams are going to be leaving the draft with a plethora of talent.
