Bronny James Has Wide NBA Draft Range Ahead of USC Debut

Bronny James, a five-star guard who joined USC for his collegiate career, has a wide draft range in the preseason.

It’s no secret that Bronny James, eldest son of NBA superstar and four-time champion LeBron James, is going to be in the spotlight this upcoming college basketball season.

The guard already has high expectations set squarely on his shoulders due to him being a legacy, and joining a heralded USC program likely isn’t going to help in that regard.

And still, James is talented enough that he could very well hear his name called in the 2024 NBA Draft just under a year from now. A five-star recruit, James has a nice blend of athleticism, shot-making, shooting and defensive prowess, all packed within a 6-foot-3 frame.

Alongside fellow top recruit Isaiah Collier, likely the best point guard prospect in the class and one of the better playmakers, James is sure to get his fair share of 3-pointers off. And if he can hit them, an NBA team is sure to take a swing.

Still, James’ stock has been hard to pin down in preseason.

On the first edition of the 2024 Draft Digest board, James comes in at No. 17.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo also had James at No. 17 in their 2024 mock. Yahoo Sports’ Krysten Peek had James as a fringe first rounder at No. 28. And Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman had James at No. 36 in his latest board, likely the lowest among major draft experts.

But some have even had James hovering around the top ten.

Regardless, watching James pathway to the NBA is sure to offer its fair share of exciting moments.
