Caleb Holt, Jason Crowe Jr. Earn McDonald's All-American Game MVP Honors

In this story:
The 2025-26 college basketball season still has a few more games, but it's never too early to get excited about the next crop of NCAA stars and NBA Draft prospects.
While there is still plenty to be decided in the 2026 class, including three more important contests that will feature players like Brayden Burries, Braylon Mullins, Keaton Wagler, Yaxel Lendeborg and other potential first-round picks, the 2027 class has started to make waves.
The next group of prospects isn't as touted as this year's group, but could still feature a few intriguing draft hopefuls. On Tuesday, March 31, a number of potential first-round picks in the 2027 class competed in the 2026 McDonald's All-American Game, one of the premier All-Star events for high school basketball players.
Burries and Mullins, among others, were both McDonald's All-Americans in 2025, and have now helped their teams to the Final Four. On Tuesday, a pair of players who could follow those footsteps shined in the All-Star event.
Caleb Holt, an Arizona commit, and Jason Crowe Jr., a Missouri signee, shared MVP honors after guiding Team West to a 102-86 victory against Team East.

Holt, the No. 4 overall player and No. 1 shooting guard in the 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and just one turnover while shooting 4-of-8 from the field, 2-of-5 from 3-point range and 1-of-2 from the free throw line.
Crowe, the No. 5 player and No. 2 combo guard in the cycle per 247Sports, tallied 16 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds and 3 turnovers while shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 0-of-2 from beyond the arc.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, Holt has a solid frame and should be able to make an immediate impact at Arizona. Holt could follow the footsteps of Burries and Carter Bryant, who each put their NBA talents on display as freshmen with the Wildcats.
Bryant didn't see as big of a role as Burries, but still was a lottery pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Burries will likely be a lottery pick in the 2026 class.
Crowe, an electric scorer and underrated playmaker, is the son of former Cal State Northridge guard Jason Crowe Sr., who also played professional basketball internationally. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds, Crowe Jr. is the All-Time leading scorer in California high school basketball history, surpassing Tounde Yessoufou, who spent the 2025-26 season at Baylor and has a chance to be a first-round pick in 2026.
While there is still a long way to go before the 2027 NBA Draft, Crowe and Holt have a strong chance to be factors in next year's class.
