NBA Rookies: Trayce Jackson-Davis Continues Brilliant Season in Warriors' Playoff Pursuit

Golden State center Trayce Jackson-Davis has been one of the most important rookies in this class as it relates to winning games.

Despite being one of the most productive college basketball players in the country last season, Trayce Jackson-Davis went No. 57 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, mostly because he didn't fit the modern style of play in the NBA as he couldn't space the floor. Even then, there was a sense he could end up being a steal for the Golden State Warriors given he would be surrounded by shooters and in a system that he could play a very defined role.

Now as his rookie campaign nears its end, that has absolutely been the case. While his fellow first-year teammate Brandin Podziemski has been given a ton of praise for what he has done as a rookie, Jackson-Davis deserves just as much credit for what he's done this season.

Jackson-Davis has nearly notched double-digit games with at least 10 rebounds, as well as nearly 20 contests with multiple blocks. The 24-year-old has also scored in double figures in roughly 40% of the games he has played in, which further proves how many things he can do on the court.

While the Warriors aren't necessarily contenders this season, they're still a dangerous team with the firepower to beat any opponent on any given night. As such, Jackson-Davis' contributions as a player who has emerged as a permanent starter down the stretch of the season is extremely impressive.

As Golden State looks to have success in the Play-In Tournament and ultimately make the true playoffs, Jackson-Davis will be called upon as a rookie to make a tremendous impact.
