One of the best young players in the NBL, Henshall is one of the more NBA-ready prospects in this upcoming class. An experienced guard with the traits to enhance an NBA team on both ends of the floor, he could end up being one of the better rookies next season despite not being selected high.

The poise Henshall plays with is impressive. Regardless of the level of competition, he’s consistently been a prospect who rises to the occasion and impacts winning. His numbers may not always pop — though he has the ability to stuff the stat sheet at times — but there’s no question he’s a needle-mover.

Henshall has solid positional size and a great foundation. He doesn’t have the most athleticism or burst, but he has a tight handle and sound jumper. He also makes good decisions and has deep range from beyond the arc. When defenders close out too hard, the Australian guard can also get to the next two levels to score effectively. The passing chops exist with Henshall as well, making him an effective guard in either backcourt spot. He has playmaking upside when given the opportunity and boasts a high basketball IQ.

On the defensive end, it will be interesting to see how his effectiveness translates. His size allows him to defend multiple positions, but the lack of quickness could limit him against NBA players. That’s the side of the floor that’s most difficult to project for Henshall.

Again, Henshall is older relative to some of the other draft prospects in the NBL. But even then, he turns 21 just days before the 2025 NBA Draft and shouldn’t be considered a player without upside. He certainly has a high floor, but don’t underestimate Henshall’s ceiling.
