Prospect Profile

After four seasons at Cal Poly, Sanders transferred to Nevada and has looked solid in his fifth collegiate campaign. While his counting stats are slightly down with the increased level of competition, his efficiency has seen progress in some areas and he’s adjusted well.

Sanders has a slight frame, which has limited him in some ways. As he continues to get stronger with time, his ability to be effective on both ends will only be increased. With his height and guard skillset, he has the ability to play three positions.

On the offensive end, Sanders is a very good midrange scorer. He’s able to get to his spots and punish defenses from that part of the floor. He also has deep range, which he has showcased much more of in recent years. When his perimeter shot is falling, he can completely change games.

Furthermore, Sanders has proven he can be an off-ball scorer or create for himself — including in pick-and-role scenarios. This means he will be an easier fit at the NBA level in a variety of roles. He also has a knack for getting to the line and generating easy points for his team, especially when the offense is stagnant. Sanders is a great passer and has quite a bit of facilitation upside, which elevates his ability to play in either guard spot. As NBA teams evaluate his fit at the next level, he could fill a variety of roles with his diverse skillset in the backcourt.

Sanders wasn’t a huge recruit coming out of high school, but has improved his game each year and deserves a second-round look in the 2025 NBA Draft.
