Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Defends Commanders' Eric Bieniemy

Tyreek Hill played for Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2016-21.

It didn't take long for people to come to the defense of Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Commanders head coach Ron Rivera spoke about the intensity of the offensive coordinator and how it has led to players complaining and going up to him asking him to speak with Bieniemy about it. Rivera's comments caused an uproar and led to said players being called out on social media in Bieniemy's defense.

Among the people who defended Bieniemy's on Twitter was Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill. Hill played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2016 to 2021, where he became one of the most electric offensive players in football.

"Man there is no other coach that has your back like EB!! Take that coaching and get better we all been through … it’s tough but I promise you it will make you better," Hill tweeted.

When Bieniemy was Hill's offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2021, he had 343 catches for 4,854 receiving yards and 43 receiving touchdowns.

Bieniemy didn't push back on notions that he's an intense and demanding coach. He also noted how he's open and honest with his players and will always support them.

"I'm going to be their biggest and harshest critic," Bieniemy said. "But I'm also their No. 1 fan because I've got their back and I'm going to support them at all times."

Now, Bieniemy is tasked with improving a Washington offense that was No. 24 points in 2022 and developing second-year quarterback Sam Howell
