Patrick Mahomes and Adidas Unveil 'Gladiator' Uniforms for Top Schools

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has played an integral role in adidas toppling Nike in American football. The only signature athlete in the NFL does more than win Super Bowl MVP awards; he also helps develop the brand's football division in high school and college.

On Tuesday, adidas and Mahomes expanded their signature 'Gladiator Uniforms' to 13 select high schools nationwide, including Fernando Mendoza's alma mater. It's worth noting that last year, adidas signed all 41 Miami-Dade public high schools to a long-term sponsorship deal.

The expansion of Mahomes' signature Gladiator logo to 13 select high school football programs around the country brings the total number to 28 elite programs. The 13 new members join the inaugural 15 programs announced last year.

Gladiator Uniforms

Even Mahomes was impressed by the campaign video shared on Instagram. He walked around the room pointing out the ultra-clean jerseys, reminiscing about battles against players from those schools (in high school and the NFL).

Mahomes' excitement was shared by football fans from across the country, in cities big and small. Even my hometown of Chattanooga is celebrating as the Baylor Red Raiders are one of the new Gladiator programs.

All 28 high school programs will receive new, all-white uniforms this fall, inspired by Texas Tech's "Too Cold" uniform, which paid tribute to the signature style of Mahomes' game and debuted on the field last season.

Top Programs

The high school programs span coast to coast and include some of the nation's top-ranked programs, such as Christopher Columbus High School in Florida, the alma mater of adidas partners Fernando Mendoza and A'mir Sears. The full list of 28 schools include:

Adidas x Mahomes

Mahomes has been an adidas athlete since entering the NFL in 2017. After several highly successful years, Mahomes inked a multi-year contract extension with adidas in November 2025. He helped adidas partner with Texas Tech and launch an NIL program.
