Today's Crimson Tide Schedule:

  • Men's Golf- SEC East vs. West hosted by Jerry Pate (Alabama vs. Florida, match play), Birmingham, Ala.

Crimson Tide Results:

  • Nick Dunlap won the individual stroke play title at the SEC event with a score of 198. The team ended Tuesday's stroke play in eighth place with a combined score of 9-under.

  • Tua Tagovaila's no-look pass to De'Von Achane in the Miami Dolphins' rout of the Denver Broncos is still gaining attention.
  • Former Alabama basketball player Donta Hall is back in action after choosing to stay with AS Monaco.
  • Tuscaloosa's Epson Tour event, the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic, features many Alabama connections. In alphabetical order, they are Lakareber Abe, Anna Beeker, Molly Davidson, Kristen Gillman, Angelica Moresco, Kaleigh Telfer and Kenzie Wright. 

On This Day in Crimson Tide History:

September 27, 1958: Paul W. “Bear” Bryant's first game as the Alabama head coach occurred at Ladd Field in Mobile, where the Crimson Tide lost to eventual national champion LSU, 13-3. Alabama led 3-0 at halftime on a field goal by Fred Sington, Jr., the first points of the Bryant era. The game is also remembered for part of the stadium collapsing during the game.

September 27, 1991: Vinnie Sunseri was born in Mobile, Ala.
