Alabama junior wide receiver DeVonta Smith was named the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week.

It's the first time he's won the league honor.

Smith set Alabama the single-game receiving records with 274 yards and five touchdowns in the Crimson Tide’s 59-31 victory over Ole Miss last Saturday.

He topped the previous record by 50 yards.

His five touchdowns tied the SEC single-game record while his 274 yards ranked sixth in league history.

Smith became just the sixth player in SEC history to score at least two touchdowns and go over 200 yards in a game, which he accomplished in the first half alone.

He hauled in a career-best 11 passes to average 24.9 yards per catch, the second-best mark in a single game by a wide receiver at Alabama with at least eight catches.

On Sunday, Smith was also named the Walter Camp national offensive player of the week.

This story will be updated with the players of the week named by the Alabama coaching staff.
