Live Updates: No. 12 Alabama Softball vs. No. 2 UCLA

No. 12 Alabama opened up play at the Clearwater Invitational with a win over Duke Thursday afternoon and now takes on No. 2 UCLA.
The Bruins opened up the tournament with a run-rule victory over Nebraska Thursday. UCLA is one of the most storied programs in college softball and is consistently at the top of the rankings. They last won a national title in 2019.
The Crimson Tide is 1-3 all time against the Bruins, but the last meeting was a memorable one. At the 2021 Women's College World Series, Montana Fouts threw a perfect game as part of the 6-0 Alabama win.

Fouts will be back in the circle against the Bruins Friday after pitching a complete game Thursday.The two teams met the last time the Crimson Tide played in Clearwater with the Bruins winning 7-0 that day.
First pitch was scheduled for 3 p.m. on ESPN2, but will be delayed because of how long the Arkansas vs. Florida State game is taking.
The Alabama game will now start at approximately 3:35 p.m. UCLA is the designated home team, so Kenleigh Cahalan will get things started for the Crimson Tide at the plate.
