TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama football hosted its ninth of 14 spring practices on Monday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide's practice was two-hours, with the players wearing full pads.

Weather conditions were clear skies with temperatures in the low-70s Fahrenheit and winds blowing roughly 6 m.p.h. due southwest.

Earlier in the day on Monday, Alabama running back Roydell Williams participated in his first press conference of the spring. During his time with the media, Williams discussed the running back room as a whole as well as several backs on an individual basis.

Here is what Williams had to say:

On the running back room...

“Everyone's doing good. Everyone’s catching on to the offense pretty well. A lot of versatile guys in the room — being able to catch out of the backfield, running with speed, power. Everyone overall is doing very, very good.”

Regarding Justice Haynes...

“His speed, being able to catch out of the backfield. Great guy. He learns well. He came in, ready to work. Overall, just a very, very smart kid. He’s about his business and knows what to do.”

Regarding Jam Miller...

“Same thing as Justice Haynes. He’s a great guy. He learns quick. He picks up things well. Great pass protector. Great runner, very powerful runner. Great speed, but he overall he's a great kid.”

Regarding Jase McClellan...

“Me and Jase, we’re best friends for real, for real. He’s a great guy as well. Off the field, we hang out a lot. I mean there’s really not much to say, but he’s a great guy.”
