The Alabama Crimson Tide will welcome familiar foes into Bryant-Denny Stadium for the first afternoon home game of the year on Sept. 23.

The SEC on CBS has selected Alabama vs. Ole Miss for its second broadcast of the year, following its choice of Georgia vs. South Carolina this coming weekend in its opener. Per the network's tradition, the matchup kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Alabama has played both its home games in the evening this year, giving Crimson Tide fans a little different feel for the late September game.

Ole Miss currently has the only SEC win over a ranked opponent this season, after going to Tulane and taking a decisive 17-point win. The Rebels will be extra motivated as both head coach Lane Kiffin and defensive coordinator Pete Golding are former Saban assistants.

The Crimson Tide has a 54-10-2 record all-time against Ole Miss. The Rebels last won in Tuscaloosa in 2015, defeating the Tide 43-37.

Alabama has a lot of questions to answer, coming off a home-loss this past weekend to Texas. The Tide has a road trip to South Florida to take on the Bulls this weekend to get kinks worked out before conference play begins.

Ole Miss is back in The Grove this coming weekend as the Rebels will play host to the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Atlanta's ACC-squad is also led by a former Saban assistant in Brent Key.

Saban is unbeaten against Kiffin while he's been at Ole Miss, currently riding a three-game winning streak, however last season's matchup in Oxford was the closest of the three, with Alabama emerging with a six-point win.
