Breaking: Four-Star Defensive Tackle Jamil Burroughs Chooses Alabama

The University of Alabama has reached into the state of Georgia, and landed four-star defensive tackle Jamil Burroughs. The Powder Springs native becomes the 23rd commit of the Crimson Tide’s Class of 2020.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Burroughs is the 33rd ranked player in the Peach State. To be 6-foot-2 and 330 pounds, he has a quick ability to jolt past offensive linemen in order to sack opposing quarterbacks, and clog up the running game. ESPN lists him as the 24th best defensive tackle in the nation.

Burroughs is the fourth commit on the defensive line for the Crimson Tide’s Class of 2020, joining Timothy Smith, Jayson Jones, and Jah-Marien Latham.
Originally committed to Georgia in August of 2018, Burroughs decommitted last month, after multiple unofficial visits to Tuscaloosa. Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Arkansas were also in the mix for his services.
