The wait is over for two of the nation's best offensive line prospects in the 2021 cycle.

Sports Illustrated All-American candidates, offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer, and center James Brockmeyer, have announced their verbal commitment to the University of Alabama via social media.

The talented duo out of All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Tex. chose the Crimson Tide over Texas, LSU, Auburn, and Clemson. Both have had a national recruitment for quite some time now as they are both near the top of their respective positions.

Both are Longhorn legacies, and their father, Blake, played for Texas in the 1990s and was a NFL first-round draft pick in 1995. Given their connections to the home state program make this haul for the Crimson Tide that much more impressive.

Tommy, who stands at 6-foot-6, and close to 300 pounds, missed all of his junior season due to a shoulder injury, and is now back at full health and ready to compete one last time in high school.

"He is a just a left tackle and that alone separates him from so many guys in the country," Sports Illustrated All-American analyst John Garcia Jr. said. "Tommy is a polished, ready-to-go left tackle, who has used his down time recently, when he was injured, to bulk up. I think the sky is the limit for him."

The 6-foot-3, 275 pound, James, is a pure center, who plays with an edge and chip on his shoulder every snap and draws comparisons to former Crimson Tide standout, Ryan Kelly.

"He is a technician," SI All-American analyst Edwin Weathersby II said. "He understands angles and leverage really well and that is because of his background. He has a good chance to become a multi-year starter."

Along with coach Nick Saban, assistants Karl Scott and Kyle Flood have played vital roles in their recruitment. The last time the twins were on campus, in Tuscaloosa, was in early February for Junior Day, and since then, the Crimson Tide staff has chipped away, through Zooms and other virtual measures to secure their pledge.

Now, with the Crimson Tide having two five-star tackles, in Tommy and JC Latham, and the No. 1 center in the country in James, the look of the best offensive line recruiting haul, this cycle, is starting to take shape.
