Recruiting Rundown: Alabama Football Hosts Over 70 Prospects For First Weekend of Spring

The Crimson Tide started off the week well but ends it with an avalanche of prospects checking out the Capstone.

The NCAA football recruiting dead period ended on Sunday and began what's known as a quiet period where recruits and coaches can only talk on campus during visits. The Alabama Crimson Tide took advantage of this by beginning the week with several visitors to get warmed up for the weekend.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer is in the middle of his first spring in charge at the Capstone and will host, according to Alabama general manager Courtney Morgan, over 70 prospects for the Crimson Tide's third practice and the subsequent weekend ahead.

Of note, one visitor that came to check out Alabama football practice that wasn't expected this past Wednesday was 5-star cornerback Na'eem Offord out of Parker High School in Birmingham. Offord visited with several other prospects despite committing to Ohio State at the beginning of February.

On3 Sports reported that Micah DeBose, 5-star offensive lineman out of Vigor was also on campus on Wednesday to check out DeBoer's second practice. DeBose had been committed to Georgia but reopened his recruitment in December.
