LIVE BLOG: Razorbacks Needing Win to Take Alabama Series
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Maybe Alabama coach Brad Bohannon could just go ahead and get thrown out early today.
The Crimson Tide coach blew a gasket in the seventh inning and Arkansas took advantage and a shot of energy when they really needed it. Bohannon had been working on it for a few innings.
"They put up with it for a long time," Razorbacks coach Dave Van Horn said later. "That was the second time in the game that he had really, really got on the umpire about not calling a pitch and both of them were on breaking balls.
"A lot of umpires won't put up with that."
Van Horn likes Bohannon and just chalked it up to enthusiasm. Van Horn got worked up in the eighth inning after home plate umpire Mark Winters appeared to say something about Caleb Cali's home run to seal a 9-6 win.
None of that matters now.
Sunday is one game to win a series and Van Horn wasn't announcing a starting pitcher on Saturday afternoon. We'll have all that in our live blog today you can follow here.
The Hogs will have Arkansas State on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. before a weekend series against Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, that starts on Thursday to avoid playing on Easter Sunday.
