Auburn Recruit Kendarius Reddick’s State Championship Game Performance

In this story:
Kendarius Reddick's opening kickoff that saw him speed past defenders and set up his Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central team at the Woodward Academy 40 was a sign of things to come as the Yellow Jackets won their first state title since 1997.
The 2025 Auburn Tigers commitment showcased his speed and go-all-out style of play from the opening play of the game. He was fun to watch on defense as well.

Playing free safety, Reddick showcased important skills for Auburn fans to note. Here are three to think about as he and his teammates celebrate their 49-28 6A state title game victory over Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy.
First, Reddick loved contact. In fact, he relished in it. Whether in the run game, hitting a receiver when the ball arrived, chasing down an opponent after running across the field, or even special teams, Reddick was in the thick of the action.
Second, he's not just a hitter. Reddick played the alleys and was competitive with several talented Woodward Academy wide receivers. Man or zone, Reddick's athleticism allowed him to help his Central squad build a 28-0 first-half lead.
Third, having watched Reddick play live, note that he's not even remotely close to filling out. He's reached 180 pounds, but he can comfortably add at least another 15 pounds during the next few seasons while playing for Auburn. In short, he has the combination of a great frame and athleticism to be a big-time SEC defensive back.
It was fun scouting Reddick inside Mercedes Benz Stadium. He came out and played his best from the opening play of the game. Auburn fans should be excited about him being a part of the 2025 Tigers recruiting class, too. Reddick has a great future ahead of him.
