Auburn baseball signs top-rated 2024 early signing class

The Auburn baseball team is adding elite talent across the diamond and pitching staff

Auburn baseball announced the signing of seventeen players for the 2024 recruiting class, with early class ranking having the group rated as high as #4 in the country (Perfect Game).

Auburn's bringing in eleven pitchers and six position players, with several accolades amongst the group. Two in-state recruits, Connor Gatewood of Mobile, AL (#41) and Christian Chatterton of Killen, AL (#43) are top-50 players. Eleven of the seventeen are Top 250 players nationally, per Perfect Game's rankings.

The full list of signees include two catchers, two shortstops, an outfielder and an third baseman, a good mix given the program's potential needs after the 2024 MLB Draft. Catchers Ike Irish should be back for one final season, but outfielders Bobby Peirce and Mason Maners are both draft eligible, as is shortstop Cooper Weiss and infielders Javon Hernandez, Caden Green, and Deric Fabian.

(Of note, all prep signees are MLB draft-eligible in July; we'll have feedback on their draft positioning as boards are solidified through their senior seasons of competition.)
