Auburn freshman F Yohan Traore announces plans to enter the transfer portal

Auburn basketball has lost a five-star to the transfer portal.
Yohan Traore, a freshman forward, has entered the transfer portal, per Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.
Traore, a 6-foot-10 forward from Napa, California, was originally committed to LSU before flipping to Auburn last year. He appeared in 25 games for the Tigers, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game on 40% shooting. He shot 19.2% (5 of 26) from outside the arc and 34.8% (8 of 23) from the foul line. The former top-25 player was continuously described by Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl as "raw." That much was shown during his limited playing time (9.9 minutes per game).
His high school scouting report described him as "a skilled, efficient, and productive big man with a good natural frame. His efficiency comes in how he generally plays within himself offensively and does what is asked of him on the floor."
Despite not showing this ability in his lone season on the Plains, Traore is a young, talented piece that should be highly valued in the transfer portal. He received offers from schools such as Houston, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Arizona, and Arkansas, among many other Power Six schools.
