Auburn football's Robby Ashford ranked worst quarterback in the SEC

In this story:
Athlon Sports is really down on the Tigers this spring.
Steve Lassan of Athlon recently released his spring SEC power rankings, with the Auburn Tigers sitting last in the SEC west.
Now he's got Auburn's projected signal-caller as the worst in the league.
Lassan's quarterback preview and rankings article has Robby Ashford as the worst quarterback in the SEC heading into the 2023 season. Here's what Lassan had to say:
New coach Hugh Freeze didn't land a transfer in the first portal window, leaving Ashford, Holden Geriner and T.J. Finley to battle for the top spot in the spring. Ashford showed flashes of potential in '22 and ranked second among SEC quarterbacks in rushing yards (709). But the Alabama native is a work in progress as a passer (49.2 percent and 6.5 yards per attempt).
As of right now, Ashford holds the worst completion percentage among returning SEC quarterbacks, but second in rushing yards. Lassan has Ashford behind Missouri's Brady Cook and Vanderbilt's AJ Swann.
With a new staff, a better system and an improved offensive line (on paper), there's reason to believe Ashford will take a leap in development this offseason.
How big of a leap is the question.
