Auburn podcaster describes what Auburn holding off late pushes for their top 2024 commits means going forward

In this story:
Yesterday was early signing day, and Coach Freeze did an outstanding job holding on to all of the talent that was committed.
Some different coaches made strong pushes at some of the talent committed to Auburn's 2024 class, but this staff was able to hold on.
Host of Locked On Auburn, Zac Blackerby, discussed what it means that Auburn was able to fend off the big dogs to keep the talent in this class.
Let's take a look at this quote from Blackerby, "I think there was a stronger push from Alabama than anybody from the Alabama side would like to admit, and I think Perry Thompson first grabbing that Auburn hat, putting it down, grabbing that Alabama hat, making it touch his head, throwing it across the room and reviling the Auburn jersey underneath his jacket was symbolic of a lot of things. How many times have we seen this where it's a TJ Yeldon or a Reuben Foster? Foster didn't go up to the signing day, but so many times we've seen a guy who was a sure-fire Auburn guy, and Alabama sweeps in at the last second and takes them away. I think Hugh Freeze kind of called them out a little bit. He didn't say it directly, but I think he said enough that it was clear if you were paying attention. He kind of said hey, there are folks who try to do things the night before, and that may not be the way you want to do things and all of that. I think Perry Thompson took a shot, I think Hugh Freeze took a shot, and I think Auburn looked up north to Tuscaloosa and said you're not doing this anymore, you're not, sorry. Maybe the old Auburn, but Auburn is getting back to where it needs to be, and that was a huge step in doing that."
It's clear that Hugh Freeze is not going to let Nick Saban push him around on the recruiting trail. Freeze worked really hard to put this class together and wasn't going to have it ruined the night before signing day.
