Coastal Carolina QB Grayson McCall Has Entered the Transfer Portal

Take a look, Auburn. One of the best quarterbacks in the country just entered the transfer portal.

Again.

Grayson McCall, a fifth-year senior quarterback for Coastal Carolina, has entered the transfer portal, per On3. McCall entered the portal last off-season and was pursued heavily by Auburn. He decided to return to Coastal for another season, and now he's entered the portal again.

The Chanticleers QB has set records over his four years at the helm of the Coastal Carolina offense, throwing for over 10,000 yards with 88 touchdown passes to only eight interceptions, winning the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year award three straight seasons (2020-2022). He added 1,113 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

McCall finished 2023 with an offensive grade of 74.7 this past season per Pro Football Focus. The previous three seasons he finished with a grade above 85. He peaked at 7th out of 213 eligible passers in 2020 with a score of 92.4, came in 16th in 2021 at 91.0 and 30th in 2022 with a 87.9 score.
