Over his three years donning green and gold, the Baylor forward played in 102 games for the Bears (starting 77) and averaged 12 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 51.9 percent from the field while averaging 24.3 minutes per contest.

He also led the Bears in numerous categories (18 points, nine rebounds and one block) in a Sweet 16 loss to South Carolina on March 24, 2017.
Motley has also played professionally for many years despite going undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, beginning with the Dallas Mavericks and the team's G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, from 2017-2018.
He signed a similar contract with the Los Angeles Clippers from 2018-2020 before being traded, then waived, by the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 19, 2020.
He spent the 2021 season with the Incheon ET Land Elephants (Korean Basketball League) and averaged 20.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
Motley originally signed with the Lokomotiv Kuban for the 2021-2022 season (part of the VTB United League and the 7DAYS EuroCup) but left the team after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, prior to his signing with Fenerbahce Beko on June 20, 2022.
