Weekly NET: Win Over Texas Tech Boosts Cincinnati Back Onto NCAA Tournament Bubble

UC likely needs to finish 9-9 in the Big 12 or better to make the dance.

CINCINNATI — From disaster to new life.

That's how things can roll on the razor's edge of the Big 12 as Cincinnati went from off the NCAA Tournament bubble to right back on it following a 75-72 road win over No. 15 Texas Tech.

It moved the team up to No. 30 in the latest NET rankings check-in and boosted their chances to make the dance the third-most of any team on Saturday (42.9% on TeamRankings, to 58.9%).

Cincinnati currently sits at a 58% chance to make the field as a projected 10 seed. They are bound to appear on more than 28 of the 80 tracked brackets on Bracket Matrix once that's updated again on Monday or tuesday.

UC is 4-5 midway through conference play and likely needs to finish 5-4 to go 9-9 overall in its inaugural run. That would give them a very solid chance of making the NCAA Tournament field as an at-large team.
