Indianapolis Colts Release Curtis Brooks From Practice Squad

One of Cincinnati's top defenders last season is on the market.

CINCINNATI — A recent Bearcats great is now an NFL free agent. The Indianapolis Colts released Curtis Brooks from the practice squad on Monday

Brooks was a First-Team All-AAC honoree in 2021, posting 56 tackles while leading UC with 12.5 TFL and 7.5 sacks. He helped spur a defense that had 39 sacks, which ranked No. 2 in the AAC and No. 18 in the country.

The interior defensive lineman was then drafted by Indianapolis 216th overall

Now, he'll look for a new NFL home as plenty of teams deal with injuries this late in the season. He has not played a regular-season snap in his NFL career yet.
