UC's Ivan Pace Jr., Mason Fletcher, Dontay Corleone Named AP All-Americans

The trio was fantastic all season long for UC football.

CINCINNATI — The Associated Press has named UC's Ivan Pace Jr., Dontay Corleone, and Mason Fletcher to their 2022 All-American team.

12/14 UPDATE: UC announced that Pace is now the first unanimous All-American in program history. The AFCA named him a first-team linebacker.

Pace has now earned first-team All-American status from the AFCA, the AP, Sporting News, FWAA, and Walter Camp, which make up the five NCAA-recognized outlets.

Pace earned first-team linebacker honors, while Fletcher and Corleone made third-team punter and defensive line.

The 2022 AAC Defensive Player of the Year wowed voters tallying 120 tackles, 19.5 TFLs, and 9.0 sacks this season. The TFLs rank third in the nation, while his 120 stops are seventh-most in the country and Pace's 9 sacks rank 14th.

Fletcher was the AAC Special Teams Player of the Year after finishing the season ranked fourth nationally in average punt distance. His 84-yard howitzer against SMU set a new program and conference record for single-punt distance.

Corleone finished his redshirt freshman season with 44 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. He was a menace for interior offensive linemen to deal with.

Now, he and Fletcher are returning to the team in 2023, ready to lead the next era of UC football under head coach Scott Satterfield.
