UC Guard David DeJulius Lands On AAC Honor Roll

The Bearcats leading scorer almost willed the team to a win against Xavier on Saturday.

CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball only played one game last week, but David DeJulius's final Crosstown Shootout performance was enough to land him on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.

The graduate guard dropped 22 points 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in the 80-77 loss to Xavier. It marked his fifth 20-point game of the season and 17th for his career. Saturday was the first time UC lost a game this season where DeJulius went over 20 points.

His best came in winning time, as the guard dropped 17 second-half points after legendary UC forward Kenyon Martin motivated the team at halftime. Four of those came from a miraculous and-one three that he banked in to tie the game in the last 20 seconds.

DeJulius also won AAC Player of the Week to open a season where he's averaging a team-high 16.7 points and 3.1 assists.
