Look: Ivan Pace Jr. 'Can't Wait' to Play in Cincinnati After Winning NFC Defensive Player of the Week

The rookie is taking advantage of more playing opportunities.

CINCINNATI — Former Cincinnati football star Ivan Pace Jr. picked up NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his 13-tackle performance against Las Vegas this past Sunday, which also included a game-sealing interception and a sack.

The rookie is blooming at the right time for a Vikings team hunting down a playoff spot as they now travel to his hometown for a battle against the Bengals.

Pace "can't wait" to play in front of the Cincy faithful on his birthday, no less.

"I gotta step in," Pace said about getting more snaps due to injury. "And it's my birthday too. So Dec. 16, my birthday I'm be back home starting, green dot. I'm going to put on a show for them too."

There figures to be plenty of Bengal/UC fans rooting for plays on both sides this Saturday.
