Louis 'Dean' Giacometti Passes Away at 102

The World War II veteran was a regular at alumni events throughout the decades.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats lost their oldest living football letterman this past weekend. Louis "Dean" Giacometti passed away at the age of 102.

"Tiger" played tackle and end for the team in 1940 and 1941 before heading off to fight with the U.S. Army in World War II prior to his senior season.

Dean is survived by daughter Valerie, two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families. Find out more information on his funeral services here.
