Ahmad Gardner Makes History at 2022 NFL Draft

Gardner is just the second top-10 pick in program history.

CINCINNATI — Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner. History Made.

The most dominant player in program history became the highest drafted prospect in UC football history as well after going off the board at No. 4 to the New York Jets.

Gardner figures to be the shutdown weapoin in Robert Saleh's defensive scheme and gives the Jets a cornerstone defensive piece to build around. Sauce moves past Greg Cook (No.5, 1969) as the first player in team history picked with a top-four selection.
