CINCINNATI — Back Together Saturday in the NFL was a hit, especially for UC rookies looking to make a strong first impression on fans. Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner is already a clear fan favorite in New York.

The kids couldn't get enough of Sauce during his jaunt through practice.

The rookie is excited to keep competing against the young Jets offense and his teammates are ready for more Sauce magic as well.

On the other side of the country, his former running mate Coby Bryant has been one of the most impressive players at Seahawks camp early on.

"Another outstanding practice for Coby Bryant," Corbin Smith tweeted. "Rookie registered three pass breakups on the afternoon, including denying 6-foot-7 Colby Parkinson on a jump ball in the end zone during team period.

"Bryant did give up a touchdown to Marquise Goodwin, but he had good coverage on the play and Drew Lock threw a perfect back-shoulder throw towards the back pylon. Rookie just wasn't able to turn his head quick enough to make a play."

Bryant has always played with a chip on his shoulder and it shouldn't surprise any Bearcats fans that he stuck his nose in front of a 6-foot-7 opponent and snuffed the ball out.

“You can always tell with the college kids who gets more of the cerebral side of the game, Coby has that," Seahawks defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt said after practice.

The heady corner is reportedly still behind Sidney Jones for that CB1 spot, but he's already making a strong push less than a week into training camp.
