CINCINNATI —  The Bearcats have to retain their players from entering the transfer portal like every other school this offseason, but they don't have to worry about Jizzle James.

James's father, Edgerrin, confirmed he is not leaving in an Instagram post on Monday. It was a response to Barstool Cincinnati's joke X post on April Fool's saying James and Dan Skillings were headed to the NBA this offseason.

The freshman averaged 8.8 points and 2.1 assists in 2023-24, igniting down the stretch (16 points per game on 48.6% shooting in the final five games).
