CINCINNATI —  The Bearcats are getting two key players back next season in point guard Day Day Thomas and forward Dan Skillings Jr. as the pair announced returns on Saturday.

Skillings made it clear during the Bearcats baseball broadcast that he'll play one more season at UC before turning his sights on the NBA.

"This year coming up, will be my last year for sure," Skillings told play-by-play man Anthony Mazzini. "I'll be going to the league. That’s the goal. That’s been the goal.”

Skillings took a huge leap this season, increasing his production in all major statistics while posting 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Thomas was a ball-hawking steal artist who did a great job settling into his point guard role throughout his first Division I season. Thomas averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 assists, and an impressive 1.7 steals per game in 2023-24.
